Assistant Group Financial Controller
£60 - 65,000 + benefits - London
Support the Group Financial Controller to oversee a team of 6 in finance.
You have a background in either:
(i) Practice (2+ years PQE with FRS102 experience) or
(ii) Commerce (current accounting role in property / real estate) seeking a step up.
Working closely with the GFC, GFD and senior management, you will provide quality management information to enable decision making. This Assistant Group Financial Controller role will include:
- Management reporting across various group entities
- Statutory financial statements and preparation for annual audits
- Review of management accounts prepared by finance team
- Oversight of property management and accounting system
- Work with tax advisers, external accountants and legal advisers
- Assist in sales, acquisitions, financial analysis and strategic planning
- Cash flow management & forecasting and treasury work
- Oversee service charge accounting, VAT, bank reconciliations, payroll
Essential requirements for this Assistant Group Financial Controller role:
- Qualified ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA
- Experience of financial statements
- Knowledge of FRS102
- Some experience of corporation tax and VAT
- Strong Excel skills
Useful but not essential:
- Experience of offshore structures
- Property industry experience
- Acquisitions, disposals and due diligence
