Job Description

Bookkeeper – This well-established Construction Business based in Chelsea, South West London is looking to recruit an experienced all round Bookkeeper to report to the MD and part time Accountant.  Duties include:  

  • Accounts up to trial balance for four businesses in the group
  • Sales ledger
  • Purchase ledger
  • Reconciliations: Banks, Credit cards, Petty cash
  • CIS- verification, timesheets, calculation, monthly returns and payments
  • Payment runs- weekly/monthly
  • VAT Returns
  • Payroll- calculation, PAYE/NI return
  • Month end journals: prepayments, accruals, fixed assets
  • Balance sheet recs
  • Intercompany balance reconciliations for four companies
  • Monthly management accounts production
  • Cash flow management
  • Company forecasting/projections
  • Annual accounts production – production of draft accounts for external auditors
  • General office management- answering calls, insurance, printers and phones. 

The successful candidate will be an experienced Bookkeeper who is used to doing all round accounts in a small business. Although a construction background would be useful, it isn’t essential. This is a very good opportunity to work for an interesting stable business.
