Job Description

HYBRID (1-2 days in Central London office):- Our client is a dynamic and progressive Professional Services group of companies, offering HYBRID working (1-2 days in Central London office), seeking a Financial Controller. Working closely with the Director and the Board, this Financial Controller role will oversee the monthly consolidation of figures from across the group and implement systems to enable further analysis of performance as the group grows and develops.

Liaising with Directors and Group companies, the Financial Controller role will include:

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated reporting pack with KPIs, variances and commentary
  • Review of balance sheets, income statements and KPIs to ensure compliance with group policies
  • Regular review of key balance sheet reconciliations across the group.
  • Design and implement appropriate controls and systems to ensure consistent financial reporting
  • Involvement in implementing robust pricing and credit control systems to achieve KPIs
  • Involvement in transitioning from individual company to a group-wide banking system
  • Monitor cash balances and arrange for approval of payments across the group
  • Manage queries and monitor and assess financial reporting from individual group companies
  • Work with the Board and Directors on annual budgeting, forecasting and analysis
  • Support group companies with month end Xero close and with statutory requirements at year end

This Financial Controller role will need a hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and ideally have a working knowledge of IFRS. A strong personality is needed to liaise closely with group companies and the Board. Salary is negotiable up to £60,000 + 25 days holiday. Relevant technical experience is more important than formal qualifications, although ACA, ACCA, CIMA would be useful.
